ECCRE awards prizes to two researchers at the 2026 ECU convention

At the 2026 ECU Convention held in Zürich 14th to 16th of May 2026, ECCRE awarded two prizes to European researchers.

The ECCRE Young Researcher of the Year Award was awarded to Nathalie Schweyckart as a recognition of her research. Nathalie Schweykart presented some of her research in the talk Decision-making in total knee replacement surgery on Research Day.

The ECCRE Young Researcher of the Year Award is assigned to a young researcher who has submitted abstract to the ECU conference at a given year. There will be a focus on a person who is an early career researcher with a talent and dedication to pursue a full-time research carrier within the chiropractic profession. The research should be of excellent quality.

The award carries with it a prize of €2,000.

The ECCRE Best Presented Research Award was awarded to Cesar A. Hincapie. He presented the lecture Evidence with a Pulse: Building a Learning MSK Health System for the 21st Century at the ECU Convention 2026. 

The ECCRE Best Presented Research Award is assigned to a researcher who has submitted an original abstract to the ECU conference at a given year. It will be with a focus on the presentation performance on research projects of an excellent quality.

The award carries with it a prize of €3,500.
